It comes with a diverter valve kit that allows you to regulate flow through the unit or bypass it during cold weather conditions or if heat is not required. This unit hooks up after your filter and connects to the return fitting in your pool. As water goes into the dish, it travels though solar coils where it is heated by the sun before it is delivered back into your swimming pool.
